Bookmakers have priced up a possible showdown between undefeated Joe Calzaghe and Roy Jones Jr and make the Welshman 1/5 to prevail.

After defeating Bernard Hopkins on a split points decision on his light-heavyweight debut in Las Vegas, Calzaghe hinted he will have one more fight before hanging up his gloves and retiring from boxing. Jones is one of the names - including Antonio Tarver and Kelly Pavlik - in the frame to be his next or final opponent.

"I don't want to push it too far, one more fight from me and then that is it, I'm done," Calzaghe said. "All that's left is one more fight. Roy Jones is making himself seen and heard. I've spoken to him, he's totally different to Bernard Hopkins.

"He is a nice guy, full of respect and that will be a massive fight and what a way to finish off your career against the former middleweight, super-middleweight, light-heavy and heavyweight champion of the world. That would be an amazing way to finish off."

Jones, who has resisted calls to quit by winning his last three fights, including an impressive success over Felix Trinidad in January, admitted he would love to take on Calzaghe on his home turf

"I would love to fight Joe in front of all those fans in Wales," he added. "I hope we will have the deal done next week to fight on November 15. I would see it as the best moment of my career. I am confident despite all I have achieved that my best moments are ahead of me."

Bookmakers make Jones the 10/3 underdog if he gets it on with Calzaghe while a draw is priced at 25/1. After his win over Hopkins, Calzaghe was made odds-on with Ladbrokes to retire undefeated.

The Welshman, who has now won all 45 of his fights, is 4/7, from 11/8, not to experience defeat and 8/1, from 14/1, to surpass Rocky Marciano's 49-0-0 record.

Ladbrokes spokesman Nick Weinberg said: "Calzaghe has said that he plans to quit the sport in 2008.

"The chances are he'll have one more fight and will go into that bout, regardless of who it's against, as an odds-on chance to improve his record."
