There may only be two of the Fab Four left alive today, and one of those is more famous for his divorce battles than his current music, but bookmakers are already betting on which of the records in the Beatles back catalogue will be their next No 1 single.

A surge in the betting has come about after news that the icons' back catalogue will now be made available for TV adverts. Hey Jude, which was originally a chart-topper in September 1968 is the 4/1 favourite (from 8/1) to top the charts again while Love Me Do, No 1 in 1962, is also popular at 10/1.

The first of the Beatles' songs to be confirmed for use in an upcoming advert is All You Need Is Love, which appeared on the Magical Mystery Tour album and was first performed by the Beatles on Our World, the first ever live world-wide TV satellite link-up, and reached an audience of 350 million people in 1967. The song is a 12/1 shot after first appearing at 25/1.

"It can only be a matter of time before the Beatles will be made available on download and the use of Beatles songs in television adverts is certain to stimulate demand," said William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams.

Hills also offer 10/1 that the Beatles will have all ten tracks in the top ten at some point this year.

Which Of These Tracks Will Be The Beatles' Next Number 1? 4/1 Hey Jude, 9/1 Yesterday, 10/1 Love Me Do, 10/1 She Loves You, 10/1 I Want To Hold Your Hand, 10/1 Help, 10/1 Can't Buy Me Love, 10/1 Hard Days Night, 12/1 All You Need Is Love, 14/1 I Feel Fine, 14/1 Day Tripper, 14/1 Penny Lane, 14/1 Let It Be, 20/1 We Can Work It Out, 16/1 Get Back, 16/1 Something, 20/1 Ticket To Ride, 20/1 Strawberry Fields Forever, 20/1 Paperback Writer, 20/1 Eleanor Rigby, 22/1 Long And Winding Road, 25/1 From Me To You, 25/1 Eight Days A Week, 25/1 Lady Madonna, 28/1 Hello Goodbye, 33/1 Yellow Submarine, 50/1 The Ballad Of John & Yoko, 50/1 Come Together.
