The likely destination, in my opinion, is Liverpool. While Rafa Benitez has claimed he doesn't need Owen, I actually have a feeling that he could pay dramatic dividends. Either working in Tandem with Fernando Torres or warming the bench as a perennial super-sub, Owen could prove to be a real advantage for 'Pool if he can remain healthy. While Rafa may not be prepared to pay 10 million for Owen, would he be willing to take a punt on him for a free transfer? The Liverpool ownership could factor into the equation as we all know they enjoy value for money and will likely be hoping Owen's reappearance will result in a real "feel good" atmosphere at Anfield. I would say it is very likely that Owen will remain in the Premiership so forget about a cheeky punt on him going to Italy or Spain. We all know how well that worked out last time…
