Ladbrokes can report that the spooky parallels between 1978, 1981 and 2005 could spark a big gamble now that Liverpool have qualified for the semi-finals of the Champions League. In 1981, Ken and Deirdre married in Coronation Street, Prince Charles got married, a new Dr Who was appointed and Liverpool won the European Cup. There is only one piece of the jigsaw missing for a repeat of these events in 2005.
